More details as below.Notice Period: Immediate-15 daysContract: Longterm ContractWork: Jeddah-HybridExp:6+ YearsRole OverviewWe are looking for an experienced DNS Consultant to design, implement, manage, and troubleshoot enterprise DNS infrastructure. The consultant will be responsible for DNS architecture, configuration, security, performance, availability, and integration with network and cloud environments.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, configure, administer, and maintain enterprise DNS infrastructure.Manage authoritative and recursive DNS servers, including internal and external DNS zones.Configure and manage Forward and Reverse DNS zones.Create and maintain DNS records such as A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, TXT, NS, PTR, SRV, and SOA.Manage DNS zones, delegations, subdomains, and zone transfers.Configure and troubleshoot DNS forwarding, conditional forwarding, recursion, and caching.Perform DNS migration, consolidation, and modernization projects.Troubleshoot DNS resolution, latency, propagation, and connectivity issues.Monitor DNS availability, performance, capacity, and query traffic.Implement DNS security controls, including DNSSEC, access controls, and secure zone transfers.Investigate and mitigate DNS-related security threats such as DNS spoofing, cache poisoning, and unauthorized zone transfers.Manage Active Directory-integrated DNS in Windows environments.Configure and support DNS services across Linux/Unix and Windows Server platforms.Integrate DNS with network infrastructure including DHCP, Active Directory, firewalls, load balancers, and proxy services.Support DNS implementations in cloud environments such as AWS Route 53, Azure DNS, and Google Cloud DNS.Manage DNS records and configurations through automation and Infrastructure-as-Code where applicable.Develop scripts using PowerShell, Python, or shell scripting to automate DNS administration.Perform root-cause analysis for complex DNS incidents and provide permanent resolutions.Participate in 24x7 production support/on-call activities when required.Maintain DNS documentation, architecture diagrams, operational procedures, and recovery plans.Work closely with network, security, cloud, infrastructure, and application teams.Experience & Qualifications5–10+ years of experience in DNS/network infrastructure administration.Strong hands-on experience with enterprise DNS environments.Experience handling complex DNS troubleshooting and production incidents.Experience with DNS migration and implementation projects.Good understanding of enterprise networking and security concepts.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Networking, or a related field.Relevant certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, Microsoft, AWS, Azure, or networking/DNS certifications are an advantage.WHAT’S ON OFFER:You will be remunerated with an excellent base salary and entitled to attractive company benefits.
