Document Control ManagerJob DetailsDocument Control Manager will be $100,000 direct hire with benefits depending on skills and experience.Relocation EligibleJob LocationCT – Seymour, CTDescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Document Control Manager to lead documentation activities within a fast-paced electronics manufacturing environment. This position will manage a team of 5 direct reports and oversee the processing, control, accuracy, and release of technical and customer documentation supporting production.The ideal candidate will have previous electronics manufacturing/EMS industry experience, strong document control experience, and demonstrated experience managing a team.Duties and ResponsibilitiesManage and support a team of 5 employees within the Documentation departmentProcess and manage incoming customer documentation and electronic dataReview documentation packages to ensure they are complete and accurateManage Bills of Material (BOMs), CAD files, drawings, Gerber files, specifications, procedures, assembly instructions, programming instructions, and test documentationCommunicate documentation issues, missing information, and discrepancies to Program Management and EngineeringSupport technical review activities and production readinessPrepare documentation and work instructions supporting manufacturingEnter and maintain Bills of Material within the MRP systemCreate and update job routings and workflow informationGenerate reports from MRP and manufacturing systemsProcess and distribute Quality BulletinsManage customer Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)Monitor manufacturing work-in-process and job statusMaintain customer documentation and revision controlWork closely with Engineering, Program Management, Quality, and Production teamsIdentify documentation or process issues and develop solutions to prevent production delaysHelp improve documentation processes and workflow efficiencyQualificationsPrevious document control experience within an electronics manufacturing, EMS, PCB/PCBA, or similar technical manufacturing environmentPrevious experience managing or supervising employeesStrong understanding of Bills of Material, engineering drawings, specifications, ECOs, and technical documentationExperience working with MRP systemsExperience with Gerber files and technical manufacturing data preferredStrong project planning, organization, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentStrong communication skills and ability to coordinate across Engineering, Quality, Program Management, and ProductionKnowledge of electronic component identification preferredExperience with Aegis or similar shop-floor/manufacturing software preferredEducation and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline preferredPrevious leadership experience within document control or technical manufacturing documentation requiredElectronics manufacturing industry experience requiredComputer SkillsExperience with manufacturing and documentation software including:Microsoft OfficeMRP/ERP systemsAegis or similar manufacturing softwareGerber tools/viewersPLM systemsVBA experience is a plusCompany OverviewFounded in 2010, Top Prospect Group was created with a focus on matching high-quality candidates with top clients while fostering an environment where success is shared by all.
