Role OverviewThe Document Controller is responsible for managing, organizing, and maintaining all project documentation in alignment with company standards and regulatory requirements. The role ensures accuracy, proper version control, secure storage, and timely distribution of documents across internal departments and external stakeholders. Key ResponsibilitiesManage the complete document control process for engineering, construction, and administrative projects.Maintain and update the Master Document Register for all incoming and outgoing documents.Ensure proper document numbering, version control, and compliance with internal procedures.Receive, review, classify, archive, and distribute documents to relevant teams.Track submissions, approvals, rejections, and revisions.Coordinate with project managers, consultants, contractors, and government stakeholders.Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly documentation status reports.Ensure secure storage of documents (electronic and hard copies) and maintain confidentiality.Support administrative tasks such as correspondence drafting, filing, and record management.Follow up on pending documentation and ensure deadlines are met.Maintain organized and accessible document repositories for authorized personnel. Required Skills & CompetenciesAdvanced proficiency in Arabic with excellent written and verbal communication skills.Good command of English (preferred).Strong computer literacy and proficiency in:MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)PDF editing toolsDocument Management Systems (DMS) such as Aconex, SharePoint, EDMS, Primavera, or similarExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.Strong understanding of document control procedures and standards.Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally. QualificationsDiploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, IT, or related field.Minimum 5 years of proven experience as a Document Controller in engineering, construction, consultancy, or corporate environments.Experience working with Amana, municipalities, or government entities is strongly preferred.Experience in Saudi Arabia is an advantage.
