Join us and be a part of our mission to drive sustainability through technology and talent at Tata Consultancy Services, APAC today.Please find the job description belowJob Title: Domain Consultant – Urban Transport & Rail FreightLocation: Sydney, New South Whales, AustraliaJob DescriptionProvide subject matter expertise across transport sectors including urban rail, road, public transport and freightAnalyse current business capabilities, operational challenges, and technology landscape.Advise clients on industry best practices, emerging urban technologies, and regulatory requirements.Support strategic planning and development of urban transport operating models.Develop target operating models and transformation roadmapsIdentify opportunities for operational efficiency, automation, and cost optimisationFacilitate workshops with executives and business stakeholdersLead business process assessment and optimisation initiativesDefine digital transformation strategies aligned with business objectives.Required Skills & Experience15+ years in transport, infrastructure, or consultingIndustry Knowledge - Rail Operations, Public Transport, Transport Asset Management, Network Operations, Timetabling & Scheduling, Passenger Information Systems, Roads & Highways, linear Asset Management, and FreightExperience working with government transport agencies, rail operators, logistics providers, or infrastructure organisationsGood knowledge & understanding of Transport IT and OT system landscapeExperience in working with CXO level bringing the thought leadership Technical KnowledgeExperience or knowledge of one of any ERP products (SAP, Oracle, Maximo, Infor etc.) understanding of Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, Google), GIS Platforms (ArcGIS), Data and Analytics and domain specific software and products.Stakeholder ManagementBuild trusted relationships with executives, operational leaders, regulators, and technology partners.Present recommendations to senior leadership.Manage cross-functional workshops and decision-making forums.Programme & Project SupportSupport major transport transformation programmes.Provide domain expertise during solution design and implementation.Review solution architecture for alignment with business objectives.Soft SkillExcellent communication skills Strategic thinking, Consulting and advisory capability, Workshop facilitation, Problem solving, Influencing stakeholders, Leadership, Presentation skillsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in engineering, Information Technology, Transport Planning, Business, or related discipline.Top Reasons to Join Our Team at TCS AustraliaAttractive compensation & rewardsWe offer a highly competitive salary package aligned with the Australian market, complemented by performance-based incentives, recognition programs, and comprehensive employee benefits.
