Company Description Community Blood Bank is a non-profit organization that has provided a safe, reliable blood supply to patients since 1966. It serves as the exclusive provider of blood products to hospitals in Erie, Warren, McKean, Tioga, and Elk Counties, as well as Titusville Area Hospital, and is the preferred provider for hospitals in Chautauqua, Potter, and Allegany Counties. The organization supplies approximately 43,000 units of blood and blood products each year, saving millions of dollars and thousands of lives in Northwest Pennsylvania and Western New York. Community Blood Bank is committed to maintaining a secure, volunteer-based blood supply that supports high-quality medical care throughout the region.Role Description The Donor Collections Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Erie, PA. This position oversees daily blood collection operations, including managing donor collection staff, and creating and managing staff schedules. Responsibilities include training and coaching team members, resolving operational issues, handling donor inquiries or concerns, and preparing reports on collection metrics and performance. The role also involves promoting a culture of quality, collaboration, and service while supporting organizational initiatives and goals.QualificationsAt least 2 years of related medical, technical, supervisory, or donor collections experienceCustomer service experience and strong communication skillsLeadership or supervisory experience requiredBachelor's degree, RN/LPN, or equivalent combination of education and related experience preferredValid driver's license with a good driving recordComfortable using Microsoft OfficeCurrent CPR certification or ability to maintain required certificationAbility to work a flexible schedule, including occasional nights and weekendsAbility to travel out of town as neededAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.
