A global network of associates enables access to specialized local expertise at short notice, supporting clients worldwide.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Draft Surveyor / Marine Surveyor role based in Fujairah. The role involves conducting draft surveys, cargo quantity assessments, and marine inspections on vessels. Day-to-day responsibilities include attending vessels, performing on-board measurements, reviewing documentation, and preparing clear, factual survey and inspection reports for clients. The surveyor will liaise with ship crews, port authorities, and client representatives to coordinate surveys, ensure safety and compliance, and maintain professional communication. The role also includes adherence to company standards, ethical practices, and timely submission of reports to meet client and operational requirements.QualificationsStrong technical skills in Marine Survey and Inspection, including conducting draft surveys and cargo inspections.Knowledge of the Marine Industry and Vessel Operations, with practical experience working on or with commercial vessels.Experience interpreting marine documentation (e.g., ship plans, cargo manifests, logbooks) and applying relevant regulations and industry standards.Excellent report writing skills, with the ability to produce accurate, concise, and objective survey reports.Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and ability to make sound judgments under time constraints.Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with multinational crews, port officials, and clients.Ability to work in a port / shipboard environment, including flexibility for irregular working hours and attending vessels at short notice.Relevant maritime qualification or equivalent professional experience.Previous experience in marine surveying, shipping, or related sectors is highly beneficial.
