The primary duties is Drafting/BIM modeling and assists Project Management through conceptual design and installation of modular panel systems.The Drafting/BIM modeler is responsible for the successful execution of the projects modular panel systems. The primary objective of this role is to facilitate an excellent client experience while designing and managing resources to deliver projects timely, efficiently, accurately, and within budget.Who Are We Looking For· Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit· 3D Laser scanning (Leica, Faro, or similar)· Leica Cyclone 3D Point Cloud Processing Software· Understanding of fabrication drawings· Creation of assembly drawings· CNC Programming (PanelBuilder a plus)· Ability of software understanding· Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings· Attention to Detail· Excellent Microsoft Office 365 skills· Excellent Communication skills· Good organizational skills· Manage multiple projects simultaneously· Ability to work well under pressure and within strict deadlines· Ability to multi-task· Critical thinking and problem-solving· Continuous improvement: ask questions and continually learn and adapt to changes in industry· Ability to visualize 3D shapesEssential Responsibilities·Interpret architectural and structural drawings to develop shop drawings using AutoCAD/Revit, incorporating Superior’s scope of work to meet the design intent· Work with estimator/project managers and customer and sometimes design team to resolve details· Interpret design team redlines and field measurements and incorporate into shop drawings· Produce fabrication package for production of ACM panels; Engage with the shop to maintain schedule, work through complicated conditions and coordinate shipping· Monitor cost and schedule of various projects progress to keep the coordination effort as closely aligned with the project estimate as possible· Engage with customers on a regular basis to set expectations, maintain schedule, process approvals, and ensure success of project· Interface with other internal SRI departments, such as project management, sales, estimating, and procurement, to ensure projects stay within budget and on schedule, process change orders and maintain customer satisfaction· Keep project files current and organized· Additional responsibilities as necessaryMinimum Education \ Experience:· 2 year degree in construction or design related fields. (or equivalent work experience)· 2 years working with Revit/AutoCAD· Experience in construction drafting or modelingIdeal Education \ Experience:· 5 years building design experience with facades, curtainwall, unitized wall, metal wall panels, aluminum composite panels or other building component design· 5 years working experience in Revit and AutoCAD· Knowledge of CAD CAM software and CNC programing
