The Draftsman will prepare detailed technical drawings and plans using CAD software, based on specifications from engineers, architects, or project managers. Daily responsibilities include interpreting design briefs, creating accurate layouts and sections, updating drawings to reflect design changes, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and project requirements. The role also involves coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, organizing drawing files and documentation, and supporting the submission of drawings for approvals. The Draftsman will help maintain consistency and quality across all project drawings and provide technical support during construction or installation phases.Qualifications Strong proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and related drafting tools, with the ability to produce precise technical drawings and layouts.Solid understanding of engineering or architectural principles, construction methods, and relevant industry standards or codes.Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including sketches, specifications, and blueprints, and translate them into clear, detailed drawings.Good organizational and documentation skills, including version control, file management, and preparation of drawing sets for review and approval.Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with engineers, architects, project managers, and site teams in a multicultural environment.Attention to detail, accuracy, and a methodical approach to checking and revising drawings to meet project and compliance requirements.Relevant technical diploma or degree in drafting, engineering, architecture, or a related field; prior experience as a Draftsman, ideally within construction, oil and gas, or industrial projects in the Gulf region, is an advantage.Willingness to work on-site in the United Arab Emirates and adapt to project timelines, priorities, and changing requirements.
