Job Title: Drilling Fluids Engineer (Mud Engineer)Duration: 6 Months

Location: Saudi Arabia

Role Summary

-Drilling Fluids Engineer (Mud Engineer) responsible for running drilling fluids operation at the rig site from drilling surface-hole sections to completing and delivering the well.Essential Responsibilities: -Forecast, order, and maintain drilling fluid chemicals’ stock at the rig site to avoid disturbance in operation.Ensuring drilling fluid is mixed properly as per the drilling fluid program specifications.Always maintaining fluid volumes to avoid operation disturbance.To maintain fluid properties while drilling as per drilling fluid program by performing fluid testing at the laboratory and recommending chemical treatment and practices.To stay on top of communications between rig crew, client, and office.To run hydraulic simulations and share daily reports and end of well recaps.To provide all the support needed related to any fluid activity at the rig site especially when encountering hole problems.Essential Requirements of the role (Experience / Skills / Competencies):-Years of experience: More than 5 years.Field of experience: Offshore experience in KSA of more than 5 years.

Technical Skills

Competent in high-performance WBM, OBM, Heavy Brines, Speciality chemicals, Engineering SoftwareTools or Software (Required / Preferred): Daily Reporting Software, Hydraulic Simulation SoftwareEducation Qualifications: Batchelor’s in Engineering or ScienceIndustry Background or Experience (Required / Preferred): Worked as a Mud engineer in KSA Offshore for more than 5 years, have experience with Drilling problems commonly faced in KSARequired Accreditations / Qualifications / Certification / Licenses including Driving License: Basic & Advance Mud School, passed Aramco interview as Critical Mud Engineer.Desirable attributes of the worker (Experience / Skills / Competencies):-7-year experience in KSA OffshoreExperience in Flat Rheology OBM systemsPlatform batch drilling from surface whole sections experience
