Role DescriptionAn Interior Architecture Manager is responsible for leading the planning, design, coordination, and delivery of interior architecture projects. The role combines creative design leadership, technical development, project coordination, construction oversight, client management, and team leadership to deliver functional, visually compelling, and technically sound interior environments.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the development of interior architectural concepts, layouts, space plans, and design strategies.Translate client requirements, project objectives, brand standards, and functional needs into effective design solutions.Manage interior architecture projects from concept development through detailed design, construction, and completion.Prepare and review floor plans, elevations, sections, reflected ceiling plans, details, specifications, and construction documents.Coordinate interior designs with architectural, structural, MEP, lighting, acoustics, furniture, technology, and specialist disciplines.Review 2D drawings, 3D models, renderings, BIM documentation, material boards, and presentations.Select finishes, materials, furniture, fixtures, fittings, and architectural elements.Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, contractors, suppliers, consultants, and project managers.Lead design reviews, client presentations, coordination meetings, workshops, and site meetings.Review shop drawings, material samples, mock-ups, technical submissions, and contractor proposals.Conduct site inspections to verify design implementation, workmanship, materials, and compliance with approved documentation.Identify design conflicts, construction issues, quality concerns, and technical discrepancies.Manage design changes, variations, approvals, revisions, and project documentation.Monitor project schedules, budgets, deliverables, resources, and design milestones.Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes, accessibility requirements, fire-safety standards, and project specifications.Incorporate sustainability, energy efficiency, material performance, accessibility, and user-experience principles into projects.Support procurement, tendering, contractor coordination, material sourcing, and cost-control activities.Lead, mentor, and coordinate interior designers, architects, design coordinators, and project teams.Utilize AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, SketchUp, Rhino, rendering software, digital collaboration platforms, and AI-assisted design tools where appropriate.Prepare design reports, project updates, technical recommendations, presentations, and management reports.Resolve technical and design issues throughout project delivery.Continuously improve design quality, project efficiency, client satisfaction, technical coordination, and interior architectural standards.QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, Interior Design, or a related discipline.Strong knowledge of interior architecture, space planning, construction methods, materials, detailing, and building systems.Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, BIM, 3D modeling, and visualization tools.Strong understanding of architectural drawings, specifications, construction documentation, and technical detailing.Knowledge of structural, MEP, lighting, acoustics, furniture, and building-system coordination.Understanding of building codes, accessibility, fire safety, health and safety, and applicable regulations.Strong project-management, leadership, design-development, and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication, presentation, client-management, and stakeholder-coordination abilities.Knowledge of sustainable design, smart interiors, innovative materials, and emerging design technologies is advantageous.Strong understanding of procurement, budgeting, scheduling, contractor coordination, and construction administration.Ability to manage multiple projects, teams, priorities, and deadlines.Strong attention to detail, creativity, technical judgment, and commercial awareness.High level of professionalism, accountability, leadership, and commitment to design excellence.
