Drone Assembly Technician

We are committed to creating the technologies of the future, ensuring high quality and functionality of our products.In MICROAVIA we are developing a drone-in-a-box solution for critical infrastructure & perimeter surveillance. The heart of the system is server-side software that puts together drones, landing stations, client computers, and other devices. Users have full control over any drone connected to the system, including live video streaming. Operation of the system is highly automated, server software controls all operations: performing flights according to schedule, battery swap, preflight checks, missions uploading, downloading high resolution data after flight, and many other necessary things. A typical setup may count up to 100 drones-in-a-box.Job SummaryWe seek a detail-oriented and skilled Drone Assembly Technician for our 6-MONTHS PROJECT. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical assembly, experience with drone frame components, avionics integration, and a passion for technology. This role involves assembling the drone and support equipment structural components of drone frames, integrating avionics / electronic components, ensuring quality control, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our production processes.

Key Responsibilities

Assemble drone frames according to technical CAD models / drawings and assembly work instructions.Fit and assemble components for the drone and support equipment.Integrate electronic components such as motors, PCBs, ESCs, flight controllers, and wiring into the drone frame.Work with small electronic components to ensure proper connections and functionality.Ensure all structural and electronic assemblies meet precise specifications and tolerances.Perform functional tests on assembled drones / equipment to ensure proper operation of both structural and electronic components.Troubleshoot and repair defective structural assemblies and electronic components.Perform basic wire and cable preparation, including cutting, stripping, crimping, and soldering.Assemble wires, cables, connectors, and terminals according to drawings and work instructions.Perform basic inspection of completed cable assemblies to ensure proper connections and workmanship.Use standard hand tools and basic electrical assembly tools safely and accurately.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electronics or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (preferred).Experience:Minimum 5 years’ experience in assembling drones or similar electronic/mechanical devices.Skills:Proficiency in using hand tools, precision measuring instruments, and power tools.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and assembly instructions.Basic understanding of electronic and structural components and their functions.Knowledge and experience of working with small electronic components.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues.Experience using ERP systems & GoogleConditions:Location: Dubai, Silicon OasisWorking time: 9:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday to FridayFriendly, professional, international teamCompetitive salary
