Candidates joining Buma Luna will be part of a professional crew focused on safety, innovation, and cinematic quality.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Drone Pilot role based in Dubai. The Drone Pilots will operate drones for aerial cinematography, industrial inspections, mapping, and surveying, following local regulations and company safety protocols. Responsibilities include planning flight missions, performing pre-flight and post-flight checks, and coordinating with directors, production teams, or project managers to capture required footage and data. The role involves monitoring equipment performance, managing batteries and payloads, and maintaining drones and related gear in optimal condition. The Drone Pilot will also assist in reviewing collected imagery and data, report any technical issues, and collaborate with the wider team to deliver high-quality visual and operational outcomes.QualificationsCertified or demonstrable experience as a drone pilot, with strong skills in flight planning, safe operation, and adherence to DCAA/GCAA or similar aviation regulations.Hands-on experience with aerial cinematography, including camera and gimbal operation, shot framing, and coordination with creative teams for film, commercials, or events.Knowledge of industrial drone applications such as inspection, mapping, and surveying, plus familiarity with basic data collection workflows and interpretation.Technical aptitude for troubleshooting drone hardware and software, performing routine maintenance, and managing batteries, sensors, and payloads.Strong situational awareness, risk assessment, and safety-minded decision making in varied environments and operational conditions.Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with production crews, clients, and field teams on-site.Ability to work on-site in Dubai, including occasional evening or weekend assignments aligned with shoots or project schedules.Relevant certifications or licenses for drone operation in the UAE; experience in media production or industrial inspection is an advantage.
