Dry Bulk Operations Executive - Dubai An established international dry bulk shipping and chartering house with a strong global presence are expanding its Dubai office and are looking for an experienced operations individual. This role would suit someone currently working in dry bulk operations. You'll bring a strong commercial and market understanding from the broking side, applying that to the operational management of dry bulk voyages — working closely with chartering desks, owners, charterers, agents and other counterparties to ensure smooth voyage execution from fixture through to completion. Key ResponsibilitiesManage the operational execution of dry bulk voyages from fixture to completionAct as the key operational link between the chartering desk and owners/charterers/agentsLiaise daily with owners, charterers, agents, and port authorities to coordinate vessel operationsMonitor vessel positions, laycan schedules, loading/discharging operations, and port activitiesPrepare and check voyage instructions, statements of facts, laytime calculations, and demurrage/despatch claimsEnsure compliance with charter party terms and resolve operational discrepancies as they ariseLiaise with P&I clubs, surveyors and other third parties where requiredMaintain accurate voyage records and support timely invoicing and claims settlementProvide close support to the chartering/broking desk, bridging commercial and operational workflowsCandidate Requirements3 years+ experience in dry bulk operations Solid understanding of charter party terms, laytime and demurrage calculationsStrong grasp of dry bulk market dynamics and vessel typesExcellent numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detailStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work under pressure and manage multiple vessels/voyages simultaneouslyProficiency in relevant shipping software/systems and MS Office (Excel in particular)Degree educated (Maritime, Business, or related field preferred but not essential with relevant experience)Based in Dubai, UAE
