Dry Bulk Vessel Operator

Our client, a global MNC, requires a Dry Bulk Vessel Operator to oversee post-fix vessel operations of its dry bulk fleet. You will ensure safe, efficient and optimised voyage execution while coordinating closely with vessels, charterers, brokers, agents and internal teams.Reporting to the Head of Operations, key responsibilities include:Manage end-to-end dry bulk vessel operations from fixture to voyage completion for 12-13 vesselsEnsure alignment with Charter Party Agreement; respond promptly to events, handle laytime, demurrage/dispatch and claimsOversee voyage instructions, scheduling, port calls, cargo operations, bunkering and performanceCoordinate with Masters, charterers, brokers, agents, terminals and suppliersMonitor vessel positions, bunker consumption, speed and operational KPIsOptimise voyage costs (bunkers, port expenses, agency fees)Manage cargo documentation, bills of lading and letters of indemnityResolve operational issues and disputes to minimise commercial exposureRequirementsDegree/professional qualification in Maritime Studies, Shipping, Logistics or related field5+ years’ dry bulk operations experience, in post-fixture, loading, unloading, demurrageExceptional knowledge of dry bulk Charter Party Agreements, laytime, demurrage and voyage economicsExperience with Handysize/Supramax vessels preferred
