Additionally the lift operator safeguards the placement and moving the boats in the dry dock area as well as proper maintenance of boats stored in the dry dock facility according to company procedures.Key Accountabilities1. Operational Control & SafetyEnsure safe and efficient execution of all dry dock, lifting, lowering, and yard operations.Enforce full compliance with HSE, environmental, and quality management systems.Maintain operational readiness of yard spaces, procedures, and documentation.2. Lifting, Docking & Yard PlanningApprove and control vessel movements, scheduling, and space allocation.Ensure operational feasibility, documentation completeness, and risk assessment prior to execution.Oversee critical lifting and lowering operations and intervene when required.3. Asset & Equipment IntegrityEnsure availability, certification, and reliability of all lifting and yard equipment.Approve maintenance plans and corrective actions for critical assets.Ensure facilities and equipment meet regulatory and operational standards.4. People Leadership & Capability DevelopmentLead, allocate, and develop Dry Dock personnel and subcontractors.Ensure staffing levels, competencies, certifications, and training meet operational needs.Drive a strong safety culture and high performance standards within the team.5. Commercial Performance & Budget ControlDeliver Dry Dock operations within approved budgets and cost targets.Contribute to revenue growth through operational optimization and service development.Core Competences and experienceSafety leadership and risk managementOperational planning and executionPeople leadership and performance managementCommercial and cost awarenessDecision-making under pressureClient orientation and communicationContinuous improvement mindsetMust-have Professional/Technical qualificationsMinimum 5+ years in dry dock, shipyard, or Marina technical/operational rolesDegree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or related fieldMaster’s degree in Project Management or Technical Management (advantage)Valid lifting and safety-related certifications (as applicable by local regulation)Strong knowledge of HSE standardsFluency in English.
