e are looking for a detail-oriented Customs Declaration Specialist to support our import/export operations. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of customs procedures, document verification, and classification of goods using HS codes. They will ensure timely and accurate preparation and submission of customs declarations, follow up with customs authorities, and keep customers informed throughout the process.ResponsibilitiesDTI Declaration PreparationPrepare and submit accurate customs declarations via the customs system.Ensure all shipment details are correctly entered and matched with shipment documents.Document VerificationVerify completeness and accuracy of shipping documents such as Bill of Lading (BL), Commercial Invoice, Packing List, and Certificate of Origin before declaration submission.Cross-check that all document details correspond with the declaration information.HS Code & Customs DutyApply basic knowledge of Harmonized System (HS) codes for proper classification of imported/exported goods.Confirm correct customs valuation, duty, GST, and other applicable taxes in line with regulations.Customs Follow-UpMonitor declaration processing and promptly address customs queries, inspections, and assessments.Coordinate with customers and clearance teams to resolve any customs-related issues efficiently.Customer CommunicationProvide timely updates to customers regarding the status and progress of their shipments and customs clearance.QualificationsHands-on experience with ASYCUDA and ICEGATE customs systems.Strong understanding of customs regulations, document handling, and shipment procedures.Ability to accurately classify goods using HS codes and calculate applicable duties and taxes.Good communication skills to coordinate with customs authorities, customers, and internal teams.
