This is an entry-level opportunity for someone who is naturally curious, highly detail-oriented, and enjoys research, reading, and writing.As a Due Diligence Investigator, you'll research companies and individuals, gather information from a variety of sources, identify important facts and potential red flags, and turn your findings into clear, concise investigative reports.You don't need years of investigative experience to be successful here. In fact, we've had success with candidates coming from backgrounds such as History, English, Criminal Justice, Law, Political Science, and other research- or writing-intensive fields.If you enjoy putting together the pieces of a puzzle and figuring out what the information is really telling you, this could be a great fit.What You'll Do:Conduct detailed research on individuals and companies using public records, databases, court records, news sources, online resources, and other investigative toolsResearch and analyze information to identify relevant facts, inconsistencies, connections, and potential red flagsReview large amounts of information and determine what is important to the investigationConnect information from multiple sources to develop a clear picture of the subject being investigatedPrepare accurate, well-written investigative reports summarizing your findingsResearch court records, corporate records, business information, and other publicly available sourcesMaintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail across multiple investigationsManage several investigations simultaneously while meeting established deadlinesHandle sensitive and confidential information professionallyWork independently while collaborating with senior investigators and the broader teamCommunicate findings clearly and effectively through written reportsWhat We're Looking For:We're less concerned with having the "perfect" background and more interested in how you think.The ideal candidate is:Naturally curious and enjoys digging into informationHighly detail-oriented and able to spot inconsistencies or connectionsA strong reader who can work through large amounts of informationA capable writer who can clearly explain what they foundAnalytical and comfortable piecing together information from multiple sourcesOrganized and able to manage multiple investigations at onceComfortable working independently and asking thoughtful questions when neededInterested in investigative research, criminal justice, business, law, history, or related fieldsProfessional and trustworthy when handling confidential informationEducation & Experience:A bachelor's degree is preferred, particularly in fields such as:HistoryEnglishCriminal JusticeLaw / Pre-LawPolitical ScienceBusinessJournalismOr another research- or writing-focused disciplineRelevant investigative, research, court records, legal, compliance, or public records experience is a plus, but is not required.This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional looking to build a career in investigative research.Training & Career Growth:You'll receive approximately one week of initial training before transitioning to work alongside a Senior Investigator.Investigators typically begin by handling approximately 3–5 investigative units per day, researching 3–5 individuals or companies depending on the assignment.As you develop your investigative skills and experience, there is a clear path for advancement to Senior Investigator, where you'll take on more complex investigations and a higher daily workload.If you're someone who genuinely enjoys researching, reading, writing, solving problems, and figuring out what happened behind the information, we'd love to hear from you.
