Due Diligence Officer

We are working with an international maritime and trading business seeking a Due Diligence Officer to join its Legal & Compliance team. This is a newly created role reporting directly to the Group Head of Legal.Key ResponsibilitiesManage KYC, due diligence and onboarding for clients, vendors and counterparties.Conduct counterparty and vessel screening.Use Kpler, World-Check or equivalent screening tools.Investigate higher-risk cases and conduct enhanced due diligence.Prepare due diligence memos and maintain compliance records.Support AML, sanctions and wider regulatory requirements.About YouThe business is looking for 2+ years’ experience in KYC, due diligence, AML or compliance.Maritime experience is preferred, particularly from shipowners/managers, bunkering, commodities/trading, marine services or shipping agencies.
