Job Title: Duty Doctor / ICU Physician (MBBS/MD)Location: Krishna Hospital & Research Foundation, Cuddalore Employment Type: Full-time | Shift-basedAbout the RoleKrishna Hospital & Research Foundation is looking for committed and clinically competent doctors to join our clinical team.We are currently looking for doctors who can support our general duty doctor requirements across wards, emergency and inpatient care, as well as candidates with experience or additional training in ICU and critical care.The role and responsibilities may be assigned based on the candidate's qualifications, experience and clinical competency.Key ResponsibilitiesAssess and examine patients in wards, ICU and emergency settings.Provide immediate medical care and stabilise patients when required.Initiate and manage treatment as per clinical protocols and consultant guidance.Monitor patient progress and ensure regular updates to case sheets and clinical documentation.Respond promptly to emergencies and critical calls.Coordinate patient care with consultants, nursing staff and other departments.Assist consultants during rounds, procedures and patient management.Ensure accurate documentation of clinical findings, treatment and patient progress.Follow hospital protocols, infection control standards and patient safety procedures.Handle medico-legal cases and documentation as per hospital guidelines.Ensure appropriate clinical handover and continuity of patient care during shift changes.Additional Responsibilities for ICU-Experienced CandidatesCandidates with ICU or critical care experience may additionally be responsible for:Managing critically ill patients in the ICU.Monitoring vital parameters and treatment response.Supporting ventilator management and critical care monitoring.Managing medical emergencies including sepsis, respiratory failure, shock and other critical conditions.Performing or assisting with ICU procedures as appropriate to qualification and competency.Participating in Code Blue and emergency response activities.Coordinating closely with consultants and multidisciplinary teams regarding critically ill patients.Qualification & EligibilityWe welcome applications from:MBBS doctors with valid State Medical Council registration.Freshers and doctors with 0–3 years of experience for Duty Doctor positions.MBBS doctors with previous ICU or emergency experience.Doctors with additional qualifications or training in General Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Anaesthesia or Critical Care will be considered for roles involving greater ICU responsibility.Key SkillsStrong clinical judgment and decision-making ability.Ability to manage emergencies and work calmly under pressure.Good communication and coordination skills.Strong attention to documentation and patient safety.Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.Discipline, punctuality and accountability.Work ScheduleRotational shifts including Morning, Evening and Night duties.Weekly off on rotation.Emergency duties as required.Specific duty allocation will depend on departmental requirements and candidate experience.What We OfferSalary based on qualification, experience and clinical responsibilities.Hands-on exposure across multiple clinical departments.Opportunity for doctors to gain experience in ward, emergency and critical care settings.Supportive clinical environment.Structured shift-based duty system.Accommodation support, where applicable.CompensationSalary: ₹38,000 – ₹55,000 per month, depending on qualification, experience and role assigned.
