Position: E-Billing SpecialistEmployment Type: Direct HireSalary: $65,000–$85,000Location: Miami, FL - Hybrid — 3 days in office / 2 days remote after trainingPosition SummaryThe E-Billing Specialist is responsible for managing the electronic billing process for clients, ensuring invoices are submitted accurately, on time, and in accordance with client billing requirements and outside counsel guidelines. This position will work closely with attorneys, billing teams, clients, and e-billing platforms to resolve billing issues and maintain efficient invoice processing.ResponsibilitiesPrepare, review, and submit electronic invoices through various client billing portals.Ensure invoices comply with client-specific billing guidelines, agreements, and submission requirements.Process a high volume of monthly electronic invoices while maintaining accuracy.Set up new clients, matters, billing arrangements, and timekeepers within e-billing systems.Submit budgets, accruals, rate requests, and other required billing information through client platforms.Monitor invoice submissions and track acceptance, rejection, and payment status.Research and resolve rejected, short-paid, or reduced invoices.Prepare and submit billing appeals when appropriate.Communicate with clients regarding invoice questions, billing discrepancies, and submission issues.Partner with attorneys and internal billing teams to resolve billing-related problems.Maintain accurate billing records and documentation.Assist with special billing projects and other finance-related assignments as needed.Required Qualifications5+ years of legal e-billing experience, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment.Strong understanding of electronic billing processes and client-specific billing requirements.Hands-on experience working with multiple e-billing platforms and client portals.Ability to manage high-volume billing activity and multiple deadlines.Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong organizational and time-management abilities.Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
