E-Commerce Specialist (Shopify) & Web Developer

Guided by an outlook of hope, the company aims to empower individuals to live in the present and find greater meaning through care, connection, and collective spirit.Role Description:This is a full-time, on-site E-Commerce Specialist (Shopify) & Web Developer role based in Dubai. The role involves managing and optimizing the Shopify storefront, including product listings, collections, pricing, promotions, and merchandising to drive sales and improve the online customer experience. The specialist will handle day-to-day website maintenance, implement UX/UI updates, troubleshoot technical issues, and collaborate with design and marketing teams to launch campaigns and landing pages. Responsibilities include monitoring site performance, analyzing e-commerce metrics, managing integrations and apps, and overseeing customer journey flows such as checkout, payment, and order tracking. The role also requires close coordination with customer service, operations, and logistics to ensure accurate stock levels, smooth order processing, and timely resolution of e-commerce-related inquiries.Qualifications:Strong commerce and e-commerce skills, including experience with Shopify store setup, management, and optimization.Solid analytical skills to interpret website and sales data, track key performance indicators, and make data-driven decisions.Effective communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and conveying technical concepts clearly.Customer service orientation with a focus on creating seamless online experiences and resolving user issues professionally.Sales-focused mindset with the ability to support online conversion, upselling, and promotional strategies.Experience in front-end web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and familiarity with Shopify themes and Liquid templates.Understanding of SEO, digital marketing fundamentals, and best practices for e-commerce content and performance.Ability to work on-site in Dubai, manage multiple tasks, and adapt in a fast-paced, brand-led environment.Relevant degree or diploma in Computer Science, Web Development, Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.Prior experience in fashion, retail, or lifestyle e-commerce is an advantage, along with an interest in sustainable, purpose-driven brands.Experience and/or an ability to conduct website Performance Monitoring, Web Error Resolution, Security Monitoring & Protection from Hacking Attempts, Speed MonitoringFor interested applicants, please prepare your updated portfolio along with your updated CV and mail it to:Email: ralph@glossylounge.com hr@glossylounge.com
