E-Learning Assistant / Online Tutor / Academic Support Assistant to provide online academic assistance, learner support, tutoring coordination, digital-classroom administration, and day-to-day educational support.The ideal candidate is patient, organized, digitally confident, and able to explain academic concepts clearly while adapting to different learning needs.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide online academic support to students through approved digital learning platforms.Assist learners with course content, assignments, study plans, learning resources, and general academic questions.Deliver tutoring or guided learning sessions within areas of demonstrated subject expertise.Explain concepts clearly using appropriate examples, exercises, demonstrations, and digital resources.Adapt explanations and learning approaches according to student ability, learning pace, and academic objectives.Support students with study planning, time management, revision strategies, and learning organization.Monitor student participation, attendance, engagement, assignment progress, and learning activities.Provide constructive feedback on assignments, exercises, practice work, and learning activities where authorized.Assist instructors and tutors with preparing lesson materials, presentations, worksheets, quizzes, and online resources.Upload, organize, and maintain course materials within learning-management systems.Support virtual classrooms, webinars, online workshops, discussion forums, and academic sessions.Coordinate online session schedules, meeting links, reminders, attendance records, and learner communications.Respond promptly and professionally to student questions through email, messaging platforms, discussion boards, or approved systems.Follow up with students who miss sessions, fall behind, or require additional academic support.Coordinate with instructors, academic advisors, program coordinators, and parents or guardians where appropriate.Maintain accurate learner profiles, academic records, attendance information, progress notes, and support documentation.Assist with quizzes, assessments, examinations, practice tests, and other academic activities according to established procedures.Support onboarding of students to online learning platforms and explain basic navigation, course access, and submission procedures.Provide basic technical assistance for common learning-platform issues and escalate complex technical problems to IT support.Help moderate online discussion areas and encourage respectful, constructive learner participation.Identify students who may require additional academic assistance and refer them to appropriate academic or support personnel.Collect learner feedback and assist with surveys, satisfaction reviews, and educational-quality initiatives.Prepare reports covering attendance, participation, learner progress, completed activities, and outstanding support requirements.Maintain organized records of course materials, student communications, tutoring sessions, and academic support activities.Protect student confidentiality and handle academic, personal, and educational information responsibly.Follow institutional policies, safeguarding procedures, academic-integrity standards, data-protection requirements, and applicable UAE regulations.Escalate serious academic, safeguarding, behavioral, technical, or student-welfare concerns to appropriately authorized personnel.Identify opportunities to improve online learning experiences, student engagement, academic support, and digital education processes.RequirementsBachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Education, English, Mathematics, Science, Business, Computer Science, or another relevant academic discipline is preferred.3+ years of professional experience in tutoring, teaching, e-learning, academic support, education administration, or a related field is preferred.Demonstrated knowledge of at least one academic subject suitable for tutoring or learner support.Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.Additional languages such as Arabic, Hindi, Urdu, Mandarin, French, or Russian are advantageous.Strong presentation, explanation, communication, and interpersonal skills.Patient, encouraging, approachable, and student-focused attitude.Ability to adapt teaching and support methods to different learners and academic levels.Strong organization, time management, follow-up, and multitasking skills.Excellent attention to detail when managing student records, assignments, schedules, and learning materials.Comfortable working independently in a fully remote learning environment.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and online learning platforms.Experience with Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard, Google Classroom, TalentLMS, or comparable LMS platforms is advantageous.Familiarity with digital teaching tools, virtual whiteboards, online assessment systems, and educational technology is advantageous.UAE or GCC experience in education, tutoring, training, or online learning is advantageous.Teaching, tutoring, TESOL,
