E2E Global Logistics Leader

Kroger is seeking a strategic and operationally minded Leader of End-to-End Global Logistics to build and lead the future of our global import logistics network. This is a unique opportunity to shape how products move from origin to shelf, driving end-to-end import execution, network design, transportation performance, and logistics cost optimization across a growing international supply chain.As the leader of Kroger's global import logistics capability, you will partner across Merchandising, Sourcing, Transportation, Inventory Planning, Finance, Distribution, and external logistics providers to create a best-in-class import operation that supports both dry and fresh product flows.What You'll DoLead the end-to-end global import operating model, overseeing product flow from origin handoff and overseas ports through Kroger-controlled execution points.Develop and execute cross-functional import strategies with key partners across Merchandising, Sourcing, Finance, Inventory Planning, Transportation, and Distribution.Establish governance and performance management processes to track critical import KPIs, including:On-time flowTransit reliabilityException agingFreight costCarrier and provider performanceDrive disruption management and recovery planning for geopolitical events, weather impacts, port congestion, carrier disruptions, and capacity constraints.Manage strategic relationships with ocean carriers, freight forwarders, third-party logistics providers, and other key logistics partners.Identify and deliver logistics cost-saving opportunities while improving landed cost visibility and financial performance.Lead the design and evolution of Kroger's global import network, including ports, transload operations, cold chain strategies, and inland transportation flows.Help build and scale Kroger's in-house import logistics capability as international sourcing volumes continue to grow.Who We're Looking ForRequired Experience10+ years of experience in international logistics, ocean freight, import operations, or global supply chain leadership.Strong expertise in temperature-controlled, cold-chain, or perishable product logistics.Proven experience managing and negotiating with carriers, freight forwarders, and logistics service providers.Deep understanding of international trade processes, including Incoterms, customs regulations, CBP requirements, FDA compliance, and import execution.Demonstrated success leading complex, cross-functional logistics organizations and influencing executive stakeholders.Experience building scalable logistics processes, operating models, and performance management frameworks.Preferred ExperienceDirect experience leading global sourcing logistics for a large food retailer or similar consumer-facing organization.Hands-on importer experience with ownership of import execution and compliance.Experience transforming third-party-driven logistics models into internally managed logistics capabilities.Track record of supporting growth within complex global supply chains
