EAP Counsellor (Fixed Term Contract)

We are seeking multiple EAP Counsellors / Clinical Psychologists to provide both virtual and face-to-face mental health services for clients in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This role plays a key part in delivering solution-focused brief therapies, structured counselling, and work-life support for working adults.We welcome applications from qualified mental health professionals who are committed to delivering high-quality, confidential, and culturally responsive counselling services across the UAE.We encourage interested persons to understand the Scope of Work and Requirements stated below before applying for this role.Scope of WorkProfessional Services:Responds to 24/7 EAP hotline calls during assigned shifts and collect information to assess individual's mental health and wellbeing, followed by coordinating referrals or appropriate follow-up sessions, if needed.Performs a first-serve / single-session / short-term therapy for the callers, providing positive help, assistance, and information to callers as appropriate to their requirementsResponds to appointment requests (e.g., structured telephonic / video / face-to-face counselling, work-life support) within the stipulated timeline.Offers empathetic support, guidance, and information tailored to the client’s needs, including education on effective coping strategies and stress-management techniques.Privacy and Confidentiality:Handles all cases with professionalism, adhering to ethical standards and codes of practice.Documents client information, case notes, and treatment plans within 24 hours on an established web portal after the completion of a session.Maintains accurate, up-to-date, and confidential client records in the system.Licensing and Certification:Ensure that all required licenses, certifications, work visa, and applicable indemnity insurance for professional practice remain valid and up to date.RequirementsUAE citizenship / mental health professionals with valid work visas, based in the UAE.Obtained Master’s degree in Counselling, Psychology or Clinical Psychology.At least two (2) years of post-qualification clinical and/or EAP counselling experience.Holds one or more valid professional license issued by the relevant UAE health authority, such as CDA, DHA, DOH, DCD, and/or MOHAP.Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Arabic and English.Able to commit to shiftwork arrangements with not more than forty (40) working hours per week.Having own Medical Malpractice Insurance and/or Professional Indemnity Insurance is an added advantage.Important HighlightsType of employment: We offer a 12-month fixed-term service contract which is subject for renewal or extension.Shiftwork arrangement: Flexibility to work from your preferred location provided you have the equipment (e.g., mobile phone, laptop, Wi-Fi network) readily available to work, and is able to commit to shiftwork at designation working hours.Face-to-face sessions: When such requests arise, you will be required to conduct the counselling sessions at a designated locations (e.g., the client’s office or Solace Asia's office located in Dubai).Service fee: You will receive your service fee on a monthly basis based on the total number of sessions conducted and recorded in an established web portal within a calendar month.Professional Indemnity Insurance and Liability: It is highly recommended that you carry your own Medical Malpractice and/or Professional Indemnity Insurance, ensuring that your policy provides sufficient coverage for claims arising from professional negligence, errors, omissions, malpractice, breach of contract, breach of confidentiality, or violation of any applicable laws, regulations, or professional standards.
