Let's make a difference together.Compensation: $31.97 - $34.72 hourly $58,200 - $63,200 when annualizedQualificationsMaster's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or a related behavioral health or counseling field requiredLicensed or licensed-eligible clinicians preferredMinimum of two (2) years of experience working with young children (birth to age five) and/or families with young childrenExperience coaching, training, mentoring, or teaching adult learnersWorking knowledge of typical and atypical early childhood development, as well as infant and early childhood mental health principles and practicesMust obtain endorsement from the New York State Association of Infant Mental Health (NYSAIMH) within one (1) year of employment.Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English preferredWillingness and ability to travel regionally across Long Island as neededExperience working within early childhood settings preferredResponsibilitiesCollaborate with educators to develop and implement strategies that enhance social-emotional learning in early childhood settings.Provide expert guidance and support to teachers, helping them integrate mental health practices into their daily routines.Conduct regular assessments to identify the mental health needs of children and recommend appropriate interventions.Facilitate workshops and training sessions for staff to build their capacity in fostering nurturing and supportive environments.Work closely with families to offer insights and resources that promote children's mental well-being at home and in school.Maintain detailed records of consultations and interventions, ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.Participate in team meetings to share insights and contribute to the continuous improvement of mental health programs and services.
