Through enriching, fun activities, the Job Job OverviewLove teaching young children, but looking for something outside of a traditional school setting?Rachel's Young At Art Studio is looking for an experienced preschool, Kindergarten, early childhood, or elementary teacher to help lead our camps and classes. This role is perfect for someone who loves running a classroom, planning engaging activities and building relationships with children, but is looking for a more creative, collaborative environment without the administrative demands of a traditional school.You'll predominantly lead groups of children ages 3–9 with the support of a full team of instructors and assistants, with some toddler classes thrown in! You'll have the opportunity to contribute ideas and help plan programming, but you won't be responsible for building an entire curriculum from scratch.Our programs are hands-on, creative, and designed to give children the freedom to explore while still providing the structure and guidance they need to thrive. We're looking for someone who can confidently take the lead in the classroom, keep a group engaged, and create the kind of warm, fun environment that makes kids excited to come back.RequirementsLead camps, classes, and other studio programming for children, predominantly ages 3–9Confidently manage groups of children, including transitions, behavior, pacing, and engagementGuide and delegate to supporting instructors and assistants while working collaboratively as a teamPrepare for and execute planned art projects, activities, and lessonsContribute ideas for projects, themes, activities, and future programmingAssist with lesson planning and adapting activities for different ages and abilitiesCommunicate warmly and professionally with parents and caregiversHelp maintain an organized, welcoming, and engaging studio environmentBe comfortable getting messy, being silly, jumping into activities, and actively engaging with childrenBe dependable, flexible, and comfortable adapting when an activity doesn't go exactly according to planQualificationsPrevious classroom teaching experience required, ideally in preschool, Pre-K, kindergarten, early elementary, or another early childhood settingAt least 1 year of classroom experience; 2+ years preferredExperience independently leading a classroom or group of young children strongly preferredStrong understanding of age-appropriate expectations and positive classroom managementWarm, patient, energetic, and genuinely enjoys working with young childrenCreative and comfortable thinking on your feetStrong communication and teamwork skillsReliable and able to take initiative without needing constant directionArt experience is a plus, but you do not need to be an artist!A degree in education or teaching certification is not requiredBeginning at $20/hour
