The eCommerce Designers will report to the eCommerce Experience Lead within the agency and is responsible for creating visually compelling and user-centric digital assets that support brand initiatives across retail, and direct-to-consumer eCommerce channels. This role combines creative design expertise with a strong understanding of eCommerce channel best practices to deliver engaging experiences that reduce friction and drive business results.MUST be local to either Columbus or Chicago to pick up equipment. Client is wiling to take on someone with less direct experience, but you MUST be onsite 3 days / week in Columbus. Remote candidate can be in either Columbus OR Chicago. This role is 40 hrs /week for 6 months, with potential to extend.
Responsibilities
Visual Design, eCommerce Focus: Translate client needs and branding strategies into design strategies.Create concepts, artwork, and layouts for digital projects based on creative briefs and client meetings.Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners (Writers, Project Manager, Content Strategists) and creative studio teams to produce on-brand and eye-catching campaign tactics. Select colors, fonts, photographs, illustration, and other design elements to meet creative objectives.Work within brand guidelines to create layouts that reinforce a brands style or voice through its visual touchpoints and ensuring consistency in designs and content across all of the brands digital platforms.Clearly present design ideas and concepts for campaigns and projectseCommerce Subject Matter Expert: Experience designing Product Detail Pages, A+ Content/Enhanced Content, and Brand Stores.Ability to effectively design within specific retailer guidelines and best practices.Proven ability to create designs for eCommerce that compel and convert.Stay current on eCommerce design trends, tools, and technologies to continuously improve creative output.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree preferred in Digital Design, Graphic Design, Multimedia Design or a related field5+ years of professional digital design experience, advanced understanding of design and visual principlesDemonstrated portfolio showing creative, design and software skills, and experience with eCommerce PDPs, A+ Content/Enhanced Content and Brand Stores.Knowledge of design software programs, such as Figma, AEM, and Adobe Creative Suite Applications A team player with exceptional organizational and technical skillsProven ability to prioritize and manage work in a fast-paced environment that may also have complex demands, including multiple projects with dependencies on other teams.Ability to handle multiple projects with short deadlines. Ability to prioritize tasks, communicate progress and meet deadlines.In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data, including medical data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
