(Instagram, Tik Tok)Position SummaryBig Drop NYC is seeking an exceptionally detail-oriented, analytical, and fashion-savvy E-Commerce Merchandiser to own the day-to-day execution and accuracy of our online store.This role is responsible for managing the digital product lifecycle—from reviewing purchase orders and preparing product information to launching merchandise on Shopify, maintaining inventory accuracy, merchandising collection pages, and conducting ongoing website quality assurance.The E-Commerce Merchandiser plays a critical role in how quickly and accurately new merchandise reaches our customers in store and online. You will work closely with ownership, buying, operations, creative, receiving, customer service, and technical partners to ensure that every product is complete, correct, visually compelling, and available for purchase at the right time.The ideal candidate is highly quantitative, naturally organized, comfortable managing large amounts of product data, and relentless about accuracy. You move quickly without sacrificing quality, notice inconsistencies before they become customer-facing problems, and take complete ownership of your work.This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with teams including Content, Marketing, Merchandising, Planning and Retail Operations. The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, and passionate about delivering a best-in-class online shopping experience while supporting broader business and merchandising strategies.This is not a social media or content-creation role. It is best suited for someone who loves fashion but is equally energized by spreadsheets, systems, inventory, product information, problem-solving, and operational excellence.Primary ResponsibilitiesOwn product setup and ongoing maintenance within Shopify, ensuring all product information is complete, accurate, and customer-ready.Review and validate product data from JOOR, NuOrder, vendor order confirmations, purchase orders, and internal systems.Accurately maintain style names, colors, sizing, pricing, costs, vendor information, product types, tags, collections, metafields, and other product attributes.Execute new product launches efficiently, ensuring merchandise is published accurately and on schedule using AI upload bot.Upload and organize product imagery, maintain accurate color swatches, and create relevant “Complete the Look” product associations.Merchandise New Arrivals, designer pages, category pages, seasonal edits, promotional collections, and sale sections based on inventory, freshness, performance, and business priorities.Perform routine website and product-page QA to validate imagery, pricing, inventory, product information, links, and site functionality.Monitor Shopify inventory and reconcile discrepancies across website, receiving, purchase-order, and internal inventory records.Identify and resolve missing, duplicated, cancelled, unavailable, or inconsistent product information with urgency.Execute markdown, promotional, final-sale, homepage, navigation, and collection-page updates as needed.Coordinate with buying, operations, receiving, creative, customer service, and technical partners to support product launches and resolve website issues.Prepare recurring reports, data pulls, launch trackers, and inventory audits to support merchandising and business decisions.Analyze product performance, sell-through, inventory levels, and website availability to identify merchandising opportunities and areas for improvement.Monitor competitor websites and digital merchandising best practices to help strengthen the Big Drop online shopping experience.Maintain clear documentation, organized workflows, and consistent processes while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy.Online customer service.Assist in bi weekly Tik Tok Lives.What Success Looks LikeIn this role:New merchandise launches quickly, accurately, and on schedule.Product pages are complete, polished, and consistent.Inventory displayed online reflects what is truly available to sell.Errors are identified and resolved before they affect the customer.Product, purchasing, and inventory information remains aligned across systems.Website merchandising reflects current inventory, business priorities, and product performance.Cross-functional partners receive reliable information and clear communication.Processes become more organized, efficient, and scalable over time.Qualifications and ExperienceAt least 2+ years of hands-on experience in e-commerce merchandising, digital merchandising, product operations, catalog management, retail operations, or a related position.Strong hands-on experience creating and maintaining products within Shopify.Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets and confidence working with large product databases.Exceptional attention to detail and a strong understanding of product-data accuracy.Highly quantitative, organized, systematic, and process-oriented.Ability to identify discrepancies, investigate their cause, and independently determine the appropriate resolution.Proven ability to manage multiple brands, deadlines, product launches, and competing priorities.Strong written communication, product-copy editing, and proofreading skills.Ability to work quickly and accurately within a fast-paced retail environment.Strong sense of ownership, urgency, accountability, and follow-through.Experience within contemporary fashion, luxury fashion, or a multi-brand retailer is strongly preferred.Experience with JOOR, NuOrder, purchase orders, vendor confirmations, inventory-management systems, PIM platforms, or digital asset tools is a plus.Bachelor’s degree preferred;
