The lecturer will prepare and deliver lectures, tutorials, and assessments in Economics and Accounting, ensuring alignment with Richfield’s curriculum and accreditation standards. Daily responsibilities include developing course materials, updating content to reflect current industry practices, and using a range of teaching methods to support student engagement and success. The role involves supervising student projects, providing academic guidance and feedback, participating in moderation and examination processes, and contributing to academic administration. The lecturer will collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, attend faculty meetings and training sessions, and support Work Integrated Learning initiatives that enhance student employability.QualificationsRelevant academic background, such as a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field; professional certifications (e.g., CIMA, ACCA, SAICA) are an advantage.Demonstrated expertise in Economics and Accounting principles, financial reporting, and applied analysis, with the ability to relate theory to current industry and policy contexts.Strong teaching, curriculum development, and assessment design skills, including experience with lectures, tutorials, and blended or technology-enhanced learning.Effective communication, presentation, and academic writing skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to diverse groups of students.Student-centered approach, including mentorship, feedback, and support for learners from varied backgrounds, and commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory educational practices.Competence in using learning management systems, productivity tools, and digital resources to manage course content and track student performance.Organizational and time-management skills to handle teaching loads, marking, moderation, and academic administration within set deadlines.Prior higher education teaching or relevant industry experience is highly beneficial, along with a willingness to engage in continuous professional development and academic scholarship.
