The team is driven by a mission to empower clients with ethical guidance, practical tools, and global opportunities delivered with honesty, care, and professionalism.Role Description The Migration Student Counsellor is a full-time, on-site role based at the Grace International office in Colombo. The counsellor will guide prospective students through study abroad and migration options, including course selection, university and country recommendations, and eligibility assessments. Daily responsibilities include conducting consultations, explaining visa and migration requirements, assisting with application documentation, and coordinating with internal teams and international partners. The role involves maintaining accurate records in CRM or case management systems, following up with clients, and ensuring timely submission of applications. The counsellor will also participate in information sessions, outreach activities, and occasional events to promote Grace International’s services, while providing professional, ethical, and culturally sensitive support to every client.Qualifications Strong counselling and advisory skills, including client needs assessment, guidance on study and migration pathways, and the ability to explain complex information clearly.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with proficiency in English; knowledge of local languages is an advantage.Organizational and administrative skills, including document management, record-keeping, time management, and attention to detail.Customer service and relationship-building skills, with the ability to handle queries professionally and maintain long-term client trust.Basic knowledge of international education systems, student visa processes, and migration pathways; prior experience in overseas education or migration consultancy is highly beneficial.Ability to work in a fast-paced office environment, collaborate with colleagues, and use digital tools such as email, spreadsheets, and CRM software.Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Education, Business, Management, or a related field preferred.High ethical standards, cultural sensitivity, and a genuine interest in supporting students and migrants in achieving their global aspirations.
