The team’s primary objective is to ensure that students are confident in their study choices and positioned to achieve their long-term career aspirations.Role Description The Education Counsellor is a full-time, on-site role based in Sri Jayawardenepura Kotte. In this position, the counsellor will guide prospective students through the process of selecting suitable courses, institutions, and study destinations, based on their academic background, interests, and financial considerations. Day-to-day tasks include conducting counselling sessions, explaining admission requirements, assisting with application documentation, and coordinating with partner institutions as needed. The counsellor will maintain accurate records of student interactions, follow up on inquiries, and support students through their decision-making and pre-departure processes. The role also involves participating in information sessions, outreach activities, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of international education trends and visa guidelines.Qualifications Strong student advising and counselling skills, with the ability to understand individual goals and provide tailored study pathways.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to explain complex information clearly and build trust with students and families.Organizational and administrative skills to manage multiple student files, track application progress, and meet deadlines.Awareness of international education systems, admission processes, and basic visa and compliance requirements for key study destinations.Proficiency in basic computer applications and online communication tools to handle inquiries, documentation, and virtual follow-ups.Ability to work collaboratively within a team, respond professionally to diverse cultural backgrounds, and uphold non-discriminatory practices.Prior experience in education counselling, student services, or a related field is preferred.Relevant diploma or bachelor’s degree in education, counselling, management, or a related discipline is an advantage.
