The organization values professional growth, collaboration, and a student-centered approach in all programs.Role Description The Education Paraprofessional is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Chicago Area. This role supports classroom teachers and specialists by reinforcing lesson plans, working with small groups and individual students, and helping adapt activities to meet varied learning needs. Daily responsibilities include assisting with instructional materials, monitoring student progress, providing behavior support, and maintaining a safe, inclusive classroom environment. The Education Paraprofessional also helps with student transitions, supports special education services, and collaborates with educators and families to promote student engagement and achievement.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Communication skills for interacting with students, educators, and families.Candidates should possess Education and Teaching skills to support classroom instruction and learning activities.Candidates should possess Special Education skills to assist students with diverse learning needs and accommodations.Candidates should possess Childcare skills to promote student safety, well-being, and positive behavior.Relevant experience in K–12 school settings or youth programs is beneficial.High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework or degree in education or related field is preferred.Ability to follow teacher guidance, manage time effectively, and work collaboratively in a team environment.Commitment to equity, inclusion, and respectful support of students from diverse backgrounds.
