Oaks Overseas is known for its skilled approach and proven student success stories.Role Description The Educational Counselor role is a full-time, on-site position based in Visakhapatnam. The counselor will meet with prospective students and families to understand their academic background, interests, and career goals, and recommend suitable courses, universities, and countries. Daily tasks include conducting counseling sessions, explaining admission and scholarship opportunities, guiding students through application and documentation processes, and supporting them with test preparation requirements and timelines. The role involves coordinating with universities and internal teams, maintaining accurate student records, and following up on applications and visa submissions. The counselor will also participate in seminars, workshops, and outreach activities, and contribute to continuous improvement of counseling processes and student experience.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Educational Consulting and Education-related knowledge to guide students on global academic pathways.Candidates should possess effective Student Counseling and Career Counseling skills to understand student needs and provide tailored guidance.Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, including clear spoken and written communication and active listening.Candidates should ideally have experience in international education, admissions, or study-abroad services.Candidates should have strong organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple student cases and deadlines.Candidates should be comfortable using basic office software and online application portals.A bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology, Management, or a related field is preferred.Prior experience in educational counseling, admissions, or student services will be an advantage.
