EEG - Electro-Neurodiagnostics Technician ( LOCUM ONLY)

Job SummaryThe EEG Technician/Technologist is responsible for performing electroencephalogram (EEG) procedures to record and monitor patients’ brain electrical activity. The role involves preparing patients, operating EEG equipment, ensuring accurate recordings, maintaining patient safety and comfort, and assisting physicians with neurodiagnostic investigations.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform routine and specialized EEG examinations according to physician orders and established clinical protocols.Explain the EEG procedure to patients and obtain the necessary cooperation and consent.Prepare patients for the examination and correctly apply EEG electrodes and other monitoring equipment.Operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot EEG equipment to ensure high-quality recordings.Monitor patients throughout the procedure and recognize and appropriately respond to clinical events, including seizure activity.Maintain accurate patient and examination records and document relevant observations during the study.Ensure proper identification of patients and adherence to infection-control and patient-safety procedures.Perform activation procedures such as hyperventilation and photic stimulation when clinically indicated and within scope of practice.Assist physicians/neurologists during EEG interpretation by providing relevant clinical and technical information.Perform routine equipment checks and report technical problems or equipment malfunctions.Clean, disinfect, and maintain EEG equipment and accessories according to infection-control standards.Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with applicable healthcare regulations and facility policies.Participate in quality-assurance activities, audits, and continuing professional development.Provide appropriate patient education and reassurance before, during, and after the procedure.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in EEG Technology, Neurophysiology, Electroneurodiagnostic Technology, or a related healthcare field.CANDIDATE MUST have their own visa ( sponsor visa , residence visa , golden visa , spouse visa since this position is TEMPORARY for 3 months.DHA Eligibility / License is A MUST!Relevant professional certification/registration, where required by the applicable healthcare authority.Previous experience performing EEG procedures in a hospital, or neurodiagnostic setting is preferred.Knowledge of EEG equipment, electrode placement, patient monitoring, and basic neurophysiology.Good communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively with neurologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
