Electrical Automation Engineer (Conveyor & Filling Line Automation environment)We're recruiting on behalf of our client, an established and growing specialist in conveyor and internal transport systems. To support continued expansion, they're looking for a versatile Mechatronics Engineer to join their engineering team.The roleThis is a hands-on position for a genuine techie who enjoys seeing a project through from concept to a fully running line.You'll take ownership of the electrical and control side of transport systems, with a strong focus on hardware design and developing line control logic for filling lines. In short, you're the one who brings the lines to life, designing both the control cabinets and the software that makes everything run.You'll collaborate closely with the mechanical engineers, finding the right balance between control and mechanical engineering to deliver the best solutions for customers.Key responsibilitiesWriting functional specifications and a textual design for each lineProducing the technical design once the customer has signed offDesigning complete electrical installationsSelecting all hardware, including PLCs, frequency inverters, safety systems and other componentsPLC programmingTesting lines in-house and carrying out commissioning on customer sitesContributing ideas for innovation and ongoing product developmentWhat you'll bringA completed technical degree at HBO or WO level (Bachelor's/Master's) in Industrial Automation, Electrical Engineering or MechatronicsAround 3 years' experience in a similar role within mechanical engineering; a background in internal transport is a bonusPLC programming experience, ideally with Siemens S7 / TIA PortalExperience with AutoCAD Electrical; EPLAN knowledge is an advantageComfortable working with Microsoft OfficeFluent Dutch and English, both spoken and written; German is a plus
