Apply & track with Apply EdgeJob Purpose:To lead the installation, integration, and commissioning of UPS systems and lithium-ion battery cabinets for a critical power / data center project. This role covers the full lifecycle, from equipment verification and mechanical installation through energization, functional testing, and Level 3 - 5 commissioning support.Key Responsibilities:Installation & IntegrationOversee transport, positioning, and floor anchoring of UPS units, I/O cabinets, and battery modulesVerify delivered equipment against approved Bill of Materials (BOM); report discrepancies before work beginsPerform I/O Cabinet integration with UPS systems, including busbar connections, control wiring, and communication interfaces per drawings and manualsTerminate battery power cables, input/output flanges, cable glands, and protective earth connectionsBattery System WorkConduct pre-installation inspection of battery modules (visual checks, serial verification, voltage measurement, impedance testing)Perform battery balancing using approved charging/discharging kitsInterconnect battery modules, assemble fuse kits, and verify torque values per specificationsCheck for abnormal voltage deviations across battery modules and stringsStartup & CommissioningExecute startup and energization of UPS and battery systems per proceduresUpdate UPS firmware to the latest approved versionVerify system operation across Normal, Static Bypass, Maintenance Bypass, and Battery modesPerform functional and transfer testing; confirm output voltage, waveform, and system parameters are within specDeliver standard Startup Reports and consultant-approved Level 3 (L3) reportsTesting & On-Site SupportSupport Level 4 testing: 4-hour burn-in tests, battery autonomy verification, performance data collection via UPS HMI and power analyzerProvide standby technical support during Level 5 testing, including fault analysis, troubleshooting, and corrective action recommendationsQualifications and Experience:Proven experience with UPS installation and/or commissioningFamiliarity with lithium-ion battery systems, torque specifications, and electrical testing proceduresAbility to read and work from engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and installation manualsExperience with L3-L5 commissioning documentation and reportingStrong understanding of electrical safety practices in critical power environments
