Employment Type: Full-timeAn established international building services and engineering organisation is seeking an experienced Electrical Commissioning Manager to lead the commissioning of complex electrical systems across major construction projects.The role will manage commissioning activities from pre-commissioning through energisation, Integrated Systems Testing (IST), handover and project close-out, working closely with construction, project, QA/QC, design, subcontractor and specialist vendor teams.Key ResponsibilitiesLead commissioning of complex electrical systems and their integration with mechanical, controls and building systems.Develop and implement project-specific commissioning plans, programmes and procedures.Manage commissioning from pre-commissioning through to energisation, IST, handover and close-out.Coordinate commissioning activities with project, construction, QA/QC, design teams, subcontractors and specialist vendors.Monitor commissioning progress and ensure key milestones are achieved.Oversee testing and commissioning of:HV, MV and LV electrical systemsSwitchgear and protection systemsTransformersUPS systemsStandby generatorsLighting and power systemsEarthing and lightning protectionBMS, EPMS and electrical controlsReview and approve commissioning procedures, method statements, switching schedules and test scripts.Ensure commissioning complies with relevant EU directives, IEC/EN standards, local regulations and client requirements.Maintain commissioning records, certification and turnover documentation.Identify and resolve non-conformances and technical issues.Review and approve RAMS and lead commissioning safety reviews, system walkdowns and energisation risk assessments.Act as the primary point of contact for commissioning matters.Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, utility providers and equipment manufacturers.Coordinate witness testing, inspections and final acceptance procedures.Manage commissioning reports, test records, snagging, defect resolution and handover packages.Support client training, operational readiness and lessons-learned activities.RequirementsDegree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.Strong knowledge of electrical building services systems, including HV/MV/LV distribution, UPS, generators, switchgear, protection systems, BMS and electrical controls.Proven experience managing electrical commissioning from pre-commissioning through energisation, IST, handover and project close-out.Experience leading commissioning teams and coordinating subcontractors and specialist vendors.Strong planning and organisational skills, with experience managing commissioning programmes, resources and deliverables.Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Strong understanding of EU regulations, IEC/EN standards and HSQE requirements.Experience producing commissioning reports, test records, handover documentation and turnover packages.Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant commissioning management platforms.DesirableData Centre or Mission Critical project experience.Authorised Person (AP) or Senior Authorised Person (SAP) qualification.Experience with energisation planning and Integrated Systems Testing (IST).Membership of a recognised professional institution such as the IET.What's on OfferCompetitive salary.Professional development support.Employee assistance programme.Health and wellness programmes.Opportunity to work on technically complex electrical commissioning projects.
