Electrical Designer Engineer

Role Description The Electrical Designer Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai. This position is responsible for designing electrical systems for residential, commercial, and industrial projects, including power distribution, lighting, grounding, and low-current systems. Day-to-day tasks include preparing detailed drawings and schematics, performing load calculations, selecting equipment, and ensuring designs comply with relevant codes and standards. The role involves coordinating with architectural, mechanical, and structural teams, reviewing shop drawings, and supporting site teams during installation and commissioning. The Electrical Designer Engineer also assists in preparing technical reports, specifications, and documentation for client approvals and authority submissions.QualificationsStrong skills in electrical system design, including power distribution, lighting design, and low-current systems.Proficiency in CAD and relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar electrical design tools).Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings and coordinate electrical design with other disciplines.Knowledge of local and international electrical codes and standards, and experience applying them to building projects.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy in calculations and drawings.Effective communication skills for collaborating with project teams, consultants, contractors, and authorities.Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; professional registration or certification is an advantage.Previous experience in building services or consultancy environments in the UAE is prefferedMust have 3-5 years of UAE experience
