Electrical Engineer – ConstructionJob SummaryWe are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our construction team. The role will be responsible for supporting and supervising electrical works across construction projects, ensuring proper execution, coordination, quality, and compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, and applicable standards.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and monitor electrical works at construction sites to ensure proper execution and compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.Review electrical drawings, shop drawings, specifications, and technical documents and coordinate with other disciplines to resolve site requirements and clashes.Coordinate with consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project teams regarding electrical works.Review and follow up on material submittals, technical submittals, method statements, RFIs, inspection requests, and other project documentation.Ensure electrical installations are carried out according to approved designs, quality standards, and project specifications.Monitor the progress of electrical works, manpower, materials, and site activities and report any delays or technical issues.Support testing, commissioning, inspection, and handover of electrical systems.Review material requirements, quantities, and BOQs and coordinate with procurement and project teams as required.Identify technical issues and site clashes and coordinate with relevant teams to provide practical solutions.Ensure compliance with project HSE requirements and applicable electrical codes and standards.Prepare site reports, progress updates, and other required technical documentation.Coordinate electrical works with civil, mechanical, architectural, and other MEP activities.Participate in project meetings and provide technical input related to electrical works.Perform other duties related to electrical engineering and project requirements as assigned.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.4–5 years of relevant experience in construction or contracting companies.Proven experience in building construction projects and electrical works.Good understanding of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and related building electrical systems.Experience in reviewing drawings, shop drawings, BOQs, material submittals, and technical documentation.Practical knowledge of electrical installation, testing, commissioning, inspection, and handover.Ability to coordinate effectively with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams.Good knowledge of AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit MEP/BIM is an advantage.Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.Strong communication, coordination, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Ability to work independently and effectively in a construction site environment.Job DetailsJob Title: Electrical EngineerIndustry: Construction / ContractingEmployment Type: Full-timeLocation: UAENationality: Open to AllSeniority Level: Mid-Level
