Whilst establishing our footprint in over 65 countries worldwide, we have actively embedded our presence and reputation as the leader in off-site modular construction.About the RoleAs an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for managing, reviewing, and coordinating electrical power distribution, lighting, fire alarms, and low-voltage systems for modular building projects. You will ensure electrical layouts are fully integrated during factory prefabrication and accurately connected during on-site modular assembly.ResponsibilitiesUnderstanding project electrical specifications, power/lighting single-line diagrams, and building codes to develop project execution timelines and budgets.Monitoring and tracking technical progress for off-site modular electrical pre-wiring, panel installation, and on-site module hookups.Ensuring full compliance with electrical contract requirements, technical submittals, load schedules, and testing standards.Developing technical engineering solutions and interface strategies for electrical systems within modular building systems.Preparing engineering reports, technical presentations, and proposing digital modeling software tools.Ensuring accuracy in coding, editing, and writing technical letters, variation requests, and engineering memos.Maintaining detailed electrical files, submittal logs, single-line diagrams, and as-built documentation.Assisting with training site and factory teams on specialized electrical design software.Assisting project management with material takeoff (MTO) budgeting and electrical procurement scheduling.Coordinating procurement for long-lead electrical items (transformers, switchgear, distribution boards) with approved vendors.Communicating continuously with site managers, factory production teams, and electrical subcontractors.Analyzing technical drawings and BIM models to extract precise material takeoff and electrical cost estimates.Ensuring electrical installation packages are completed safely, on time, and strictly within budget.Drawing and reviewing electrical schematics, power distribution plans, and cable routing using 2D/3D software.Estimating material costs and timescales for off-site factory wiring and on-site main power connections.Selecting appropriate electrical installation, cable termination, and earthing techniques for each modular stage.Verifying electrical subcontractor progress payment applications and vendor invoices with accounts.Participating in technical coordination meetings with clients, main contractors, consultants, and power utility entities.Attending trade shows to broaden knowledge in modular prefabrication and smart electrical solutions.Maintaining specialized electrical testing equipment and software tool inventories.Performing other related engineering and administrative duties as assigned.Qualifications3 -6 years of direct experience in electrical engineering, building services, or industrial assembly.Proven hands-on experience and familiarity with modular building systems, off-site prefabrication, or pre-wired volumetric construction.Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.Experience with 3D modeling/BIM tools (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD) and electrical design/calculation software.Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word for technical reporting and spreadsheets.Strong technical electrical design, load analysis, and execution skills.Sound understanding of health and safety protocols specific to electrical installations, high-voltage testing, and site commissioning.Required SkillsTechnical expertise in electrical engineeringExperience with modular building projectsStrong analytical skills
