Apply & track with Apply EdgeThe Electrical Engineer oversees the design, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical infrastructure, automation systems, and high-capacity refrigeration controls in a cold-chain food manufacturing environment. This role ensures maximum equipment uptime, energy efficiency, and strict adherence to electrical safety and food hygiene standards (HACCP, ISO 22000, OSHA).Key ResponsibilitiesPlant Automation & Controls: Program, troubleshoot, and maintain PLCs (Siemens, Allen-Bradley), HMIs, and SCADA networks across automated processing, spiral freezers, and packaging lines.Refrigeration & Power Infrastructure: Manage sub-distribution panels, VFDs, transformers, backup generators, and electrical controls for industrial ammonia/Freon refrigeration plants.Preventive & Corrective Maintenance: Execute preventive maintenance schedules for electrical assets to minimize unplanned downtime in low-temperature (-18°C to -40°C) environments.Washdown & Hygienic Compliance: Ensure all enclosures, wiring, and sensors satisfy IP65/IP69K washdown ratings to withstand daily high-pressure chemical sanitation.Project Engineering: Lead electrical design, power distribution upgrades, and control integration for capital expenditure (CapEx) projects and new line installations.Safety & Compliance: Enforce Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols, arc flash safety, national electrical codes, and workplace hygiene regulations.Qualifications & SkillsEducation: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or Mechatronics.Experience: 3–5+ years in an industrial manufacturing plant (preference for FMCG, frozen food, dairy, or cold storage).Technical Proficiency:Hands-on PLC programming (Ladder Logic, Structured Text) and VFD parameterization.Deep understanding of industrial instrumentation (temperature, pressure, level, and flow sensors).Schematic reading and CAD software proficiency (AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN).Key Competencies: Strong root-cause analysis skills, capability to work in cold storage conditions, and cross-functional collaboration with maintenance and sanitation teams.
