The Electrical Engineer will design, review, and optimize electrical systems and power distribution layouts for projects across industrial, commercial, and infrastructure sectors. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing technical drawings and specifications, performing electrical load calculations, selecting equipment and materials, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations. The role involves coordinating with project managers, other engineering disciplines, and site teams to support installation, testing, and commissioning activities, as well as troubleshooting and resolving technical issues during project execution. The Electrical Engineer will also contribute to cost estimates, technical proposals, and continuous improvement of engineering processes and standards.QualificationsStrong foundation in core electrical engineering concepts, including Electricity, Electrical Engineering, and Power Systems.Demonstrated ability in Electrical Design, including creating technical drawings, specifications, and calculations.Experience with Power Distribution systems, including load analysis, equipment selection, and system protection.Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline; advanced qualifications or professional certifications are an advantage.Familiarity with international and regional electrical codes and standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE, NFPA) and relevant safety practices.Proficiency in engineering and design software (such as AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP or similar power system analysis tools).Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in multidisciplinary project teams and interface with clients and contractors.Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced project environment.Previous experience in power, infrastructure, or specialized contracting projects within the MENA region is preferred.
