Roles and Responsibilities
Prepare and review detailed electrical designs for transmission lines including conductor sizing, insulator selection, tower configuration, and grounding systems.Analyze load flow, short circuit, and stability using power system analysis tools.Conduct technical evaluations of equipment such as transformers, circuit breakers, and line protection systems.Ensure compliance with local standards (e.g., DEWA/TAQA).Support site surveys, route selection, and feasibility studies for transmission lines.Monitor and inspect installation of transmission line components to ensure quality and safety.Assist in testing and commissioning activities, including insulation resistance, earth resistance, and line energization procedures.Prepare technical reports, drawings, material submittals, and method statements.Interface with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities as required.Coordinate with procurement teams for equipment and materials.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (master’s degree is a plus). 3–5 years in transmission line projects (132kV or higher preferred).Familiarity with substation interface design.Knowledge of transmission line standards and grid codes.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.Capable of working in both office and field environments.Strong problem-solving and site management skillsProfessional attitude with sincerity, honesty, and commitment
