Electrical Engineer

Express Rental Company is a dry-hire equipment rental business in Dammam, supplying diesel generators, lighting towers and air compressors to contractors and rental companies across Saudi Arabia.We are hiring an Electrical Engineer to keep our generator fleet (20–2,000 kVA) reliable and to plan and commission LT/HT power solutions at customer sites across the Kingdom.WHAT YOU WILL DOFleet maintenance- Plan and supervise preventive maintenance of generators from 20 to 2,000 kVA- Diagnose and repair faults in AVRs, excitation, windings, controllers, breakers and protection relays- Run insulation resistance, winding, load bank and protection tests before dispatch and after return- Inspect returned units and keep service and test records up to dateSite installation and commissioning- Survey sites and confirm load, cable sizing, earthing and protection- Install and commission gensets, distribution boards and ATS/AMF panels- Commission multi-set synchronized systems, load sharing and generator-to-grid paralleling- Set up temporary substations and HT/LT distribution (transformers, RMUs, HT switchgear, LT panels)- Provide emergency breakdown support at customer sitesCustomer and team support- Size generators from customer load data, including motor starting and step loads- Prepare single-line diagrams, method statements and technical proposals- Enforce LOTO, permit-to-work and HT safety, including Saudi Aramco and SEC requirements where applicable- Lead and mentor technicians, and coordinate with OEM dealers on parts and warrantyEQUIPMENT YOU WILL WORK WITH- Engines: Cummins, Perkins, TATA, Kohler, Kubota- Alternators: Stamford, Leroy Somer- Controllers: DeepSea, ComAp, SmartGen, PowerCommand or similar- LT up to 1,000 V; HT 11 kV / 13.8 kV / 33 kVWHAT YOU NEED- B.E./B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering- 5–8 years with diesel generators, at least 3 of them in rental, power projects or field service- Hands-on LT installation and HT switching experience- Has commissioned at least one multi-set synchronized installation- Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) registration or eligibility- Valid Saudi driving licence or able to obtain one- Good English; Arabic, Hindi or Urdu is a plus- Willing to travel across KSA and respond to call-outsPREFERRED- Generator rental experience in the GCC- Substation commissioning and generator-to-grid paralleling- OEM training (Cummins, Perkins, Stamford, Leroy Somer); NEBOSH/IOSHWHAT WE OFFER- Competitive salary based on experience- Housing, transportation and site/overtime allowances- Medical insurance, annual leave with air ticket- Iqama and visa costs covered; end-of-service benefits per Saudi Labour Law- Company vehicle or allowance for site visits
