Headquartered in Khobar, Satech delivers expertise in various disciplines to clients.Role DescriptionExpert/senior consultant engineers, who will be aware of technical aspects in the field as specified below for each discipline. QualificationsSpecialization in TM Substations Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering 10+ years of experience on EHV/HV Transmission System or Substation Networks (380kV & 132kV), preferably on engineering & design works including preparing of SOW.Must be familiar with International Design Codes & Standards pertaining to EHV/HV Transmission System and Substation design.Knowledgeable in EHV/HV Substation basic equipment’s design and specifications, such as, GIS/HGIS, AIS, Power Transformers, etc.Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word and other Microsoft Office ApplicationsWorking Knowledge of AutoCAD / micro station and other electrical design software is a plus point.Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing in English language.Experience in Middle-East country related to EHV/HV Transmission System and Substation design is an advantage. Specialization in Underground Cable (UG) The engineer will primarily be responsible to provide inputs for the preparation of Scope of Work and layout drawings for S/S up to 380 kV and UG cable circuits. He should be able to evaluate technical offers during tendering stage. During base design and execution stage, his duties will include review of Technical Data & factory test reports for major materials; and method statements & work procedures submitted by the contractor. Also, he will be responsible to review the cable selection & sizing calculations, route drawings, schematic drawings & network diagrams, induced voltage, ampacity and sheath circulating current calculations using a suite of engineering standards.The UG cable design engineer will be responsible to review the cable sleeves/ openings and duct bank layouts for LV, MV, HV and EHV cables within the S/S.The design engineer shall be able to liaise with internal colleagues and external stakeholders like the contractor’s design team, manufacturers & vendors and all major stakeholders of the project.He will be responsible to provide cost-effective, and technically acceptable solutions and mitigations to problems/ risks during all stages of the project. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is a must.Relevant experience is required.
