Apply & track with Apply EdgeRole DescriptionAn Electrical Engineer / Quality Engineer is responsible for supporting electrical engineering activities while ensuring that electrical systems, equipment, components, and project deliverables meet established quality, safety, technical, and regulatory requirements. The role combines electrical engineering expertise with quality assurance, inspection, testing, documentation, non-conformance management, and continuous improvement to ensure reliable and compliant engineering outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, review, inspect, test, and maintain electrical systems, equipment, components, and installations.Prepare and review electrical drawings, schematics, specifications, calculations, inspection plans, and technical documentation.Conduct electrical inspections, testing, commissioning, and quality verification activities.Ensure electrical work complies with approved drawings, technical specifications, engineering standards, and applicable regulations.Develop and implement quality-control and quality-assurance procedures for electrical engineering activities.Review electrical materials, equipment, components, and supplier documentation for compliance with approved specifications.Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections of electrical equipment and installations.Perform electrical testing, measurements, functional checks, and verification activities as required.Identify electrical defects, non-conformities, installation issues, design discrepancies, and quality risks.Prepare non-conformance reports (NCRs), inspection reports, test reports, corrective-action records, and quality documentation.Conduct root cause analysis and support corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).Monitor electrical project quality performance, inspection status, test results, and outstanding quality issues.Coordinate with project managers, electrical engineers, contractors, suppliers, consultants, production teams, and other departments.Review contractor and supplier quality documentation, method statements, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and technical submissions.Conduct site inspections and verify electrical installations, workmanship, equipment installation, cable routing, connections, and testing.Support factory acceptance tests (FAT), site acceptance tests (SAT), commissioning, and equipment validation where applicable.Ensure electrical equipment and test instruments are properly calibrated, maintained, and used in accordance with procedures.Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, drawings, equipment specifications, quality issues, and corrective actions.Support internal, customer, supplier, and regulatory audits related to electrical engineering and quality management.Monitor project quality trends and identify opportunities for process improvement, defect prevention, and efficiency enhancement.Ensure proper implementation of quality management systems and applicable engineering procedures.Prepare quality reports, inspection summaries, technical reports, and management updates.Promote a strong culture of electrical safety, engineering quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.QualificationsBachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Quality Engineering, or a related field.Previous experience in electrical engineering, quality assurance, quality control, inspection, testing, manufacturing, construction, or industrial projects is preferred.Strong knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, testing procedures, engineering standards, and quality-control principles.Good understanding of quality management systems, inspection and test plans (ITPs), NCRs, root cause analysis, and CAPA.Familiarity with applicable electrical codes, engineering standards, safety requirements, and regulatory procedures.Experience with electrical inspection, testing, commissioning, and quality verification activities.Strong analytical, technical, inspection, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.Excellent attention to detail and commitment to engineering quality and accuracy.Strong communication, coordination, teamwork, and documentation skills.Ability to interpret electrical drawings, schematics, specifications, technical manuals, and inspection documentation.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.Familiarity with CAD, ERP, quality-management, inspection-management, or engineering software is advantageous.Knowledge of ISO 9001 or other relevant quality-management standards is advantageous.Relevant engineering, quality, inspection, or professional certifications are advantageous depending on the industry and jurisdiction.Ability to manage multiple inspections, engineering tasks, quality issues, projects, and deadlines.Professional, reliable, proactive, analytical, safety-conscious, and detail-oriented.Strong commitment to electrical safety, engineering quality, technical accuracy, regulatory compliance, defect prevention, continuous improvement, and operational reliability.
