Role DescriptionAn Electrical Engineer / Quality Engineer is responsible for supporting electrical engineering activities while ensuring that products, systems, equipment, processes, and project deliverables meet established technical, quality, safety, and regulatory requirements. The role combines electrical engineering, testing, inspection, quality assurance, troubleshooting, documentation, and continuous improvement to ensure reliable performance, technical compliance, and consistent quality throughout the project or production lifecycle.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, review, test, and maintain electrical systems, equipment, components, and engineering solutions.Prepare and review electrical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, specifications, calculations, technical reports, and engineering documentation.Support the installation, commissioning, testing, inspection, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment.Conduct electrical inspections, testing, measurements, and verification activities to ensure compliance with approved specifications.Review electrical components, materials, equipment, and supplier documentation for technical and quality compliance.Develop and implement quality-control and quality-assurance procedures for electrical products, systems, projects, and processes.Establish inspection criteria, test procedures, quality standards, acceptance criteria, and technical requirements.Conduct incoming, in-process, final, and site inspections where applicable.Identify electrical defects, quality issues, non-conformities, deviations, and process failures.Investigate root causes of electrical and quality-related problems and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).Coordinate with design, production, maintenance, procurement, construction, suppliers, contractors, and project teams to resolve technical and quality issues.Review engineering specifications, drawings, technical submittals, material certificates, inspection reports, and test results.Perform quality audits, process inspections, technical assessments, and compliance checks.Monitor product and project quality performance, defect trends, inspection results, and corrective-action status.Verify that electrical installations, components, equipment, and engineering work comply with applicable standards, codes, specifications, and approved designs.Support factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT), commissioning, validation, and functional testing where required.Assist with electrical system troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, failure analysis, and reliability improvement.Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, non-conformities, corrective actions, engineering changes, and quality documentation.Prepare quality reports, inspection reports, technical reports, performance summaries, and management updates.Review supplier and subcontractor performance and monitor compliance with technical and quality requirements.Support internal, customer, supplier, certification, and regulatory audits.Ensure engineering and quality activities comply with applicable IEC, ISO, electrical codes, safety standards, and relevant industry requirements.Review engineering changes, design modifications, deviations, and corrective actions to ensure technical and quality requirements are maintained.Promote electrical safety, quality awareness, process discipline, and continuous improvement throughout engineering and operational activities.Monitor calibration, maintenance, and proper use of electrical testing instruments, measuring equipment, and inspection tools.Support risk assessments, failure-mode analysis, reliability studies, and quality-improvement initiatives.Identify opportunities to improve electrical system reliability, product quality, manufacturing processes, inspection efficiency, and project performance.Maintain current knowledge of electrical engineering technologies, quality-management practices, industry standards, regulatory requirements, and technical developments.Contribute to continuous improvement of electrical system performance, product quality, engineering accuracy, regulatory compliance, reliability, safety, and operational efficiency.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Quality Engineering, or a related technical discipline.Previous experience in electrical engineering, quality assurance, quality control, manufacturing, construction, testing, or a related engineering environment is preferred.Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, engineering principles, testing methods, inspection procedures, and technical documentation.Good understanding of quality-management principles, inspection methods, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and process improvement.Familiarity with ISO 9001, IEC standards, electrical codes, safety requirements, and applicable industry standards is advantageous.Strong analytical, technical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when reviewing technical and quality documentation.Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, specifications, engineering documents, and technical standards.Experience with testing equipment, measuring instruments, electrical inspections, and quality-control tools.Familiarity with AutoCAD, electrical design software, ERP systems, quality-management systems (QMS), or engineering-management platforms is advantageous.Strong communication, teamwork, coordination, reporting, and stakeholder-management abilities.Experience with internal audits, supplier audits, customer inspections, non-conformance management, and CAPA is advantageous.Strong understanding of engineering documentation, quality records, inspection reports, testing procedures, and compliance requirements.Ability to manage multiple engineering, inspection, testing, quality, and project activities simultaneously.Professional certifications in Quality Management, Six Sigma, Internal Auditing, Electrical Safety, or related areas are advantageous.Ability to work effectively with engineers, technicians, production teams, contractors, suppliers, customers, and management.Professional, analytical, proactive, technically
