Electrical Engineer – Supervision

Job Summary:Supervise the implementation of electrical works on-site, ensuring compliance with technical drawings, specifications, and approved codes, while monitoring quality, safety, and coordination among all parties to deliver electrical systems efficiently and on schedule.

Responsibilities

Daily supervision of electrical works (power – lighting – panels – cables – low current systems – grounding – lightning protection).Review and approve Shop Drawings and ensure compliance with IFC drawings.Review and approve Material Submittals and ensure compliance with specifications and codes (IEC, NEC, IEEE).Monitor cable laying, pulling, connections, termination, and insulation testing.Supervise the installation of electrical panels MDB, SMDB, DB and ensure proper connections.Monitor low current systems such as:Fire AlarmCCTVAccess ControlBMSData & CommunicationConduct electrical tests including:Insulation Resistance TestContinuity TestMegger TestEarth Resistance TestFunctional TestingCoordinate with other disciplines to avoid conflicts (Civil, Mechanical, Architectural).Prepare daily and weekly reports on work progress and observations.Manage and guide technicians and contractors to ensure quality execution.Prepare Snag Lists and follow up on their closure.Participate in initial commissioning works and ensure systems are ready for handover.Monitor electrical safety and ensure adherence to HSE procedures.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited university or equivalent.8–10 years of experience in project supervision.Strong knowledge of codes and standards:NECIECIEEENFPA (for alarm systems)Proficiency in software:AutoCADRevitMS Office
