Citizenship or Permanent Residency RequiredClearance: Ability to Obtain Security Clearance PreferredPosition OverviewOur client, a growing aerospace and advanced manufacturing organization, is seeking a Mid-Level Electrical Engineer to support the design, development, testing, and production of complex electronic systems and printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs). This position offers the opportunity to work on high-reliability products used in demanding aerospace and defense environments while collaborating across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams throughout the entire product lifecycle.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and support analog, digital, and mixed-signal electronic circuits and subsystems.Create electrical schematics, PCB layouts, bills of materials (BOMs), and engineering documentation.Develop prototypes and perform hardware integration, troubleshooting, debugging, and validation testing.Support PCB fabrication, assembly, and product transition into manufacturing.Collaborate with mechanical, manufacturing, quality, and systems engineering teams to ensure successful product development and production.Conduct Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Testability (DFT) reviews to improve quality, reliability, and cost efficiency.Support environmental, functional, qualification, and reliability testing of electronic assemblies.Analyze test data, investigate failures, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.Participate in engineering change management, continuous improvement initiatives, and product lifecycle support activities.Partner with suppliers and contract manufacturers to support PCB sourcing, fabrication, and assembly requirements.Required QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.3-7 years of hands-on electrical design and product development experience.Strong experience designing and supporting printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs).Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB layout software.Experience with analog and digital circuit design principles.Ability to troubleshoot electronic hardware and perform laboratory testing using standard test equipment.Understanding of engineering drawings, schematics, manufacturing documentation, and configuration control processes.Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.Preferred QualificationsExperience supporting aerospace, defense, military, space, medical device, or other high-reliability products.Knowledge of IPC standards, PCB fabrication processes, and electronic assembly techniques.Familiarity with EMI/EMC design considerations and environmental qualification testing.Experience working in regulated manufacturing environments.Exposure to embedded systems, power electronics, motor controls, or control systems.Experience supporting products from concept through production release.Familiarity with Design Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (DFMEA), risk management, and quality systems.Security Clearance & Work Authorization RequirementsMust be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident due to customer and regulatory requirements.Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance if required.Active Secret Clearance or higher is a plus.Experience working within ITAR-regulated environments is highly desirable.Compensation & BenefitsCompensationBase salary ranging from $95,000 - $130,000, depending on experience, qualifications, and industry background.Performance-based bonus opportunity.Potential relocation assistance for qualified candidates.BenefitsMedical, Dental, and Vision Insurance401(k) with Company MatchLife and Disability InsurancePaid Vacation, Sick Time, and HolidaysTuition Reimbursement and Professional Development AssistanceEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Career Advancement OpportunitiesStable and growing engineering organization with long-term growth potentialKey Technical SkillsPCB Design & LayoutAnalog & Digital Circuit DesignElectronic Hardware DevelopmentDesign Verification & ValidationManufacturing SupportRoot Cause Analysis & TroubleshootingDesign for Manufacturability (DFM)Design for Testability (DFT)Aerospace ElectronicsEngineering Documentation & Configuration ControlCross-Functional Engineering CollaborationEqual Opportunity Employer/Veterans/DisabledTo read our Candidate Privacy Information Statement, which explains how we will use your information, please navigate to https://www.lhh.com/us/en/candidate-privacy
