The Electrical Foreman is responsible for supervising and leading a team of electricians and electrical technicians in the installation, maintenance, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems. The role ensures that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, and company procedures.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and coordinate the daily activities of electricians and electrical technicians on siteAssign work tasks and ensure manpower is utilized effectively to meet project schedulesRead and interpret electrical drawings, layouts, schematics, and specificationsMonitor electrical installation works including cable laying, cable termination, panel installation, lighting systems, power distribution systems, and control systemsEnsure work is performed according to approved drawings, project requirements, and electrical standardsInspect completed work and rectify any deficiencies or non-conformitiesCoordinate with supervisors, engineers, subcontractors, and other trades to ensure smooth project executionAssist in testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical systemsMaintain records of daily work progress, manpower allocation, and material usageEnsure the availability of required tools, equipment, and materials on siteMonitor productivity and ensure timely completion of assigned tasksEnforce company HSE policies and ensure all personnel follow safe work practicesConduct toolbox talks and safety briefings for work crewsReport work progress and site issues to the Electrical SupervisorRequirementsTechnical Diploma, ITI, or Trade Certificate in Electrical Engineering or a related fieldMinimum 5 years of experience in electrical installation and maintenance worksAt least 2 years of experience in a Foreman or Team Leader roleExperience in construction, infrastructure, commercial, industrial, or street lighting projects is preferredAbility to read and understand electrical drawings and technical documents
